The Fall Bulletin is out and up on line. You and view or download the home version or find instructions for the copy to use for large quantity printing on the Bulletin page.

AIS Iris Encyclopedia

The Encyclopedia Wiki turns two and if you have not seen or used it, you need to! It is now easier and faster to use. A couple of hints on useage, do not do a simple search, but instead do an advanced search, or an easier way is to go to the Iris class you want and Browse the letter group of the iris name.

San Francisco Flower and Garden Show

The AIS is hosting a booth at the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show March 21-25. The event is from 10 am to 7 pm and held at the San Mateo Event Center. It's fun, easy to get to and you get in free for the entire day if you work a shift in the iris booth. We are allowed 6 free tickets per day and must have 2 people in the booth at all times. The first shift is from 9:50 am to 1 pm, second shift is from 12:50 pm. to 4 pm and the last shift is from 3:50 pm to 7 pm. You can google the SF Flower & Garden Show on line and read the schedule to see if there are any classes or lectures you want to attend. Then call or e-mail Carolyn Craft to schedule your working shift around the events you want to attend. Give her your preferred day and time. There are many beautiful garden displays, lots of plant and garden related sales, lots of food and garden related demonstrations, classes and lectures all week long.

Let Carolyn know asap which day and time you would like to work. The booth will have two tall chairs that fit behind our booth front and allow you to sit but still be at eye level with the visitors. We stock the booth with all the information and handouts you will need. Contact or phone her at (408) 266-0945.

AIS National Convention, 2012, Cali-Zona Gold

The National Convention in 2012 is hosted by Region 15 and takes place from April 16 to April 21, 2012, in Ontario, California. For Registration, Directions, Hotel and Garden information see the Convention Website. You need to register by February 1, 2012 for the discount rate of $299.

Spring Regional

Spring Regional, Iris By the Sea, April 27 to April 29, 2012. Hosted by Monterey Bay Iris Society at the Best Western Seacliff Inn, Aptos, California. If you are going the the National Convention, consider spending the following weekend at the Regional and add this to your trip plans. Can not make the National? Then, see the Regional! To insure a spot in the Spring Regional, please register before April 1, 2012. See Spring Regional for more information.
